Well-Being Clubs / Clybiau Lles

Each week, KS2 pupils take part in wellbeing clubs designed to support the Four Purposes. Groups change every half term, giving learners the chance to explore new experiences, develop skills, and express creativity. Clubs are shaped by pupil voice, encouraging independence and active participation.

Well-being clubs for January 2026 will be:

  • Digital annimation
  • Netball
  • Art mindfulness
  • Yoga
  • Board games/chess club

There will also be the opportunity for the children to try Paddle at the Wrexham Tennis Centre and Squash at the Brymbo Squash Club.

Pokémon Club

The Pokémon Club runs every Friday at dinnertime, giving pupils the chance to develop strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills, linking to the curriculum areas of mathematics, computing, and personal, social, and health education through teamwork and fair play.

Bike maintenance

Our KS2 pupils enjoyed a hands-on bike maintenance session with Hannah from Sustrans, learning essential skills to keep their bikes safe and road-ready. The workshop focused on safety checks, simple repairs, and understanding how regular maintenance helps prevent accidents, empowering children to cycle confidently and responsibly.

Eira – Our school rabbit

Children often pop in to say hello to Eira, offering a gentle stroke, or helping with feeding and care. Spending time with animals can boost wellbeing by helping pupils feel calm, connected, and responsible. Looking after Eira teaches empathy, encourages nurturing behaviour, and gives our learners a quiet moment of joy in their busy school day.
