Dosbarth Caernarfon

This week we have observed and researched our class pets (Stick Insects!) We have also done lots of practical maths to consolidate our learning, created rangoli patterns, made marble runs out of play dough and had a maths “Masterclass” from our friends in Dosbarth Harlech. 

We enjoyed a trip out to Ty Mawr this week as part of our outdoor learning and well-being. The children had a great time looking at the animals and exploring the surroundings.  In forest school we constructed giant marble runs out of cardboard tubing and expertly used the tools.

We started the week with a workshop from Technocamps and we discovered how to do different things using our Micro:bits. In maths we have been doing lots of practical measuring, and have carried on our brilliant debate work in language.  We’ve been busy designing posters, baking and organising for our fundraising day next week.

Another busy week. Learning about money, writing reports, metafit circuits, forest school and a brilliant meditation session which taught us how to use our breathing to clear our busy minds.

Another busy week in Dosbarth Caernarfon. Learning new Cymraeg to use at play times, using our amazing new library, making pop art portraits and learning about food chains! We have also started our well- being clubs this week and have been out litter picking, coding with our new Micro:bits, dancing and playing football! 

What a brilliant first week back we’ve had! It’s been lovely seeing everyone again and finding out what they’ve been up to. We’ve had a busy but fun first week with lots of thinking about the year ahead, team building activities and talking about what we want our class to look like this year. The children have been showing us what they can remember in Maths and have been looking at endangered sea creatures in preparation for writing a report as we move forward in literacy. Keep up the good work pawb!
